ALL CHURCH FAMILY CAMP
SEPTEMBER 8 to 10, 2023
LOCATION: Pinecliff’s Campground – take I-80 east from Salt Lake City or take I-84 east from Ogden to Coalville. From Main Street in Coalville go east on 100 North which becomes Chalk Creek road. Pinecliff is 17 miles east on the right hand side of the road and is clearly marked. We will post signs at the places you need to turn.
FACILITY: Sleeping accommodations are in cabins with bunk beds and mattress. All you need to provide are your own sleeping bags and pillows. One thing that is different this year is they have taken all the mattress covers off the mattresses so they can be sanitized after each camp. You camp may want to bring a twin sheet or something to lay on the mattress.
There are restrooms and shower facilities which are separate but near the cabins. Pinecliff has upgraded its water system and filters however some people may prefer to bring their own water for drinking. There is an outdoor firepit with lots of room for gathering as well as an Outdoor Chapel for outdoor worship. Bring a headlamp or flashlight for campfire singing and any percussion instruments you have so you can join in.
ACTIVITIES: There are hiking trails and fishing nearby. Crafts for all ages will be available. If you prefer, just enjoy relaxing and socializing – this is a great time to meet people you see on Sundays but haven’t had the time to get to know. Bring board and card games to share but there are puzzles and a few games at camp.
YOUTH GROUP: We’d love to see the youth get together and fill a couple of the bigger cabins. Come on guys! Of course we aren’t limiting you to just 2 cabins. Sign up soon and we’ll get you all your own place.
GUESTS: We would love to have them. Invite them soon and register now so we can count them in on the fun. Guests need to register as a single child or adult, but can room with your party. Remember, minor children will be the direct responsibility of their host family.
COST: See registration form. Kindly make payment (payable to HUCC) as soon as possible to Pam McLeese to assist us in our planning and purchase of food and paying camp fees.
FOOD: Five meals are included and if history is an indicator, they are 5 terrific meals. There is a fully equipped kitchen at our disposal connected to a dining/meeting hall. We eat together, cafeteria style. Please feel free to bring snacks to share and any other special foods you may require. There is no alcohol allowed at the camp.
VOLUNTEERS: Please sign up to assist with one or more of the activities on the registration form or make any suggestions or add anything else we may not have thought of. In addition, all campers will be assigned to work groups upon arrival, to assist with light chores such as meal setup, and cleanup and everyone is responsible for helping clean the day we leave so we leave camp nicer than we found it.
